Lightroom Tutorials in April and June

An introductory Lightroom workshop was held in the new club venue on 26th April 2015 for absolute “newbies” to the program, and this hopefully helped reduce some their apprehension about launching into a new way of doing things, and opened up eyes to the incredible versatility of this amazing image processing  program.

A far more advanced tutorial was conducted for more seasoned users on 28th June by club guru Daniela Tommasi, and the participants came away with a huge library of extra knowledge about how to use the program to extract far more from their images.  It was an extremely valuable session, and we congratulate Daniela for not only her skill with the program, but for her ability to impart her secrets to us in an easy to follow manner.

Club “Rain Outing” 21st June 2015

This was a late afternoon gathering at the beautiful property of Hugh Warren, near Cowaramup.  The idea was to wander the paddocks and trails as the sun waned, and the light softened.

The weather conspired against us, but the stalwart little group that attended simply moved the coffee break forward and by the time this was over, the sky was “interesting” rather than just wet, and we had a busy time chasing down subject matter from trees (upright and not), to water tank corrugation patterns, to guinea fowls and anything else that would stand still long enough to get in the frame.  All in all a very successful event , and we thank Hugh for his hospitality.
